Community Therapeutic Horticulture: Making foraged evergreen mini-wreaths

Community Therapeutic Horticulture, Free 10-11:30am in Lents. We supply all tools and materials. Space is limited.

Please join us on Sunday, December 10th, 10:00am – 11:30am for our 5th annual community-based therapeutic horticulture winter activity in partnership with Larkspur Portland: Making foraged evergreen mini-wreaths!

This activity will be a fun and accessible way to engage your senses in wintertime nature and connect with your neighbors.

All materials and tools will be provided, and you are welcome to also bring your own foraged materials if you’d like to include them in the project. We will be working with a variety of evergreen boughs, branches, winter-hardy herbs, dried plants, feathers, mosses, lichens, etc..

This activity will be appropriate for all ages. Children younger than 9 will need assistance to complete the project.

If you are interested, please fill out the application form by clicking the button below and we will follow up with you as soon as we can.

Space is limited to 12 people. We encourage everyone interested to apply. Our organization is especially devoted to increasing accessibility to BIPOC & LGBTQ+ folks.

This class will be led by Kasia Terra (Larkspur Portland), a horticultural therapist living in East Portland.
