We’re so excited to be working with local Lents artist Romana Sena this year as our “Lights in Lents” featured artist! Romana has participated in several East Portland Collective events over the past years, providing face-painting at art markets, as well as during the Summer Concert in Glenwood Park for the past two years!
Romana Sena (known as @Romonsta) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Portland, Oregon. She has been a teaching artist in Oregon Public Schools since 2021. She has worked with Arts for Learning NW and is currently with Literary Arts alongside independent teaching. Find out more about Romana at her website: https://romonsta.info/

In addition to creating our life-size centerpieces during our community art build nights, Romana will be leading a free workshop on Wednesday, February 11th* in the evening: Make Your Own Moon Paper. Come make paper moons! We will be using recycled paper from the artist’s personal collection, frames that she built, and adding in mixed media to make our moons tie us to our expression. You can pre-register for Romana’s workshop here: https://forms.gle/76tqmMjCsnkaUcAe8
*the moons won’t be dry for a whole day, so they can either take them home then or pick them up on the 12th.
